1. How would you describe yourself in 5 words?
Hardworking, Determined, Blunt , slightly OCD
2. How long have you worked for Humly?
I have worked around 1.5 years prior to this; I worked 13 years within one of the acquired companies.
3. Can you describe what you do day-to-day?
Being part of the finance team I get involved in everything daily , I spend a lot of time on the planning and organising for upcoming deadlines as well as reconciling and adjusting and sourcing/creating ad hoc decision based reports. I can find myself wearing many hats in various fields whether HR, Banking, Audit, Procurement, Legal, Accounting, Managing People or other.
4. What’s the most challenging part of your job, and how do you usually challenge it?
Hitting simultaneous deadlines of equal importance and honestly I don’t know how I do it sometimes; a lot of organisation and dedication to the cause!
5. From your experiences as a Quality Compliance Support at Humly, what do you believe are some of the most essential skills or attributes needed to thrive in this role?
Resilience, good time management skills and the willingness to take on whatever duty is required to meet an objective. Also it helps to be good at puzzles as you often have to fit the pieces together and work out if something is missing.
6. What’s one professional achievement you’re most proud of?
Qualifying as a CIMA professional and achieving ACMA CGMA status
7. What do you do outside of work to unwind?
I write songs, read books, listen to music and I also cook and bake.
8. Where is your favourite travel destination?
Has to be Barbados, it’s the best. Portugal is a close 2nd.
9. Tell us something interesting about yourself.
A bit random …. I am a green belt in Aikido (i’m not very interested lol)
