1. How would you describe yourself in 5 words?

2. How long have you worked for Humly?
Soon 3 years - I joined Humly in June 2021
3. Can you describe what you do day-to-day?
Manage the finance teams across UK and Sweden including Mergers & Acquisitions and integration of new businesses. We work jointly on our recurring tasks such as accounting and reporting and we also work on a lot of different projects within M&A and continuous improvements of finance processes.
4. What’s the most challenging part of your job, and how do you usually challenge it?
A lot of different tasks and projects all at the same time so I try challenge myself i getting better at juggling multiple things, prioritise and delegate to my team.
5. From your experiences as a CFO at Humly, what do you believe are some of the most essential skills or attributes needed to thrive in this role?
You need good communication and leadership skills as well as the ability to combine working on operational daily challenges as well as long term strategic projects and initiatives.
6. What’s one professional achievement you’re most proud of?
I think we have established a very well functioning and skilled finance team with good cooperation skills that can serve the growing Humly business.
7. What do you do outside of work to unwind?
Spending time with my family. I am also a big Ice hockey fan so I try to catch the games of the team I support in Sweden. In the summers I try to sneak in a few rounds of Golf when the gardening work is done.
8. Where is your favourite travel destination?
Not one in particular, if I travel for golf Ireland is a favourite. I would also love to visit the northern parts of Spain (Asturias).
9. Tell us something interesting about yourself.
I speak Flemish (Dutch) after living 10 years in Belgium where I am also a two time national champion of floorball (Innebandy a Swedish indoor team sport).
