About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Manager to join our new and exciting central finance team, based in Birmingham. This is a great opportunity to work for a global company, supporting the day-to-day running of the UK finance function. Reporting to the UK Finance Director, you will be part of the team providing central financial support to a growing group company. You will provide advice to your colleagues, and be responsible for operational reporting, VAT returns, and day-to-day finance duties. Supported by the account’s assistant.

- Ledger Maintenance
- Payroll
- PAYE
- Credit Control
- Payment Runs
- Weekly reporting
- Ad Hoc Reporting
- Monthly & Weekly Journals
- Reconciliations
- Maintain Ledger integrity
- VAT Returns
- Contract Management/Purchasing
- Provide Vat treatment /posting advice to team members
- Customer a/c queries – invoices/balance inquiries/ payments
- Person Specification

Essentials

- AAT or equivalently qualified
- Payroll Knowledge and experience
- Credit Control Experience
- Must be dynamic, proactive and can work in a fast-paced environment
- Effective and efficient time management skills
- The ability to work under pressure
- Excellent IT Skills
- Self-motivated and Organised
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent ability to use initiative, problem solve and resolve issues
Desirable:
- Experience of Xero software is advantageous, however not essential as training is
given.
- You will ideally have experience of working within a group company
- Previous Experience in similar role

Salary: Up to £35,000 depending on experience 
Location: Birmingham HQ
